The Collie Battery is located just outside of Collie, Western Australia. The project consisted of installation of a substation, over 50km of high voltage, low voltage and earthing cable and of the placement of 572 Tesla2 XL Megapacks providing 4GWh of backup electricity storage.
Construction of stage 2 involved meticulous safety standards while a second substation and battery area was built next to the live stage 1 facility. We were responsible for all surveying on site from an initial bridge upgrade for access to bulk and detailed earthworks, aerial surveys, underground services installation, sealing of the pad and final battery location setout.
